The course aims to give an overview of the technical processes of the photographic support and establish work standards and guidelines apply to the photographic archives and for the treatment of photo collections that exist in institutions, archives and libraries. On September 7 the Department of Documentation IEFC launches a new edition of the recommended Course on Conservation and Organization ce Photographic Collections.
The course aims to give an overview of the technical processes of the photographic support and establish work standards and guidelines apply to the photographic archives and for the treatment of photo collections that exist in institutions, archives and libraries. It addresses both technical issues such as documentaries and computer.
Each module is taught by an expert in the field and in this sense, with the participation of prominent professional and Laia Foix (IEFC), Silvia Domènech (Museu Picasso), Sancho Mònica (La Vanguardia), David Iglesias (CRDI), Joan Boadas (IDRC) and Josep Cruanyes , among others.
Course content is structured in the following sections:
- An Introduction to history of photography. Miquel Galmes
- Organization and management of a photographic archive. Laia Foix
- Identification and conservation of photographic collections. Josep Parer
- digital photography. Basics. Miquel Gonzalez
- creation and preservation of digital file. David Iglesias
- content analysis of the image in the photograph. Sílvia Domènech
- Analysis and description of the photograph as a document. Laia Foix
- digital photographic collections management. Monica Sancho
- The photographic heritage. Strategies for revitalization. Joan Boadas
- The copyright in photographic archive management. Josep Cruanyes
The course lasts for 6 days and consists of 24 hours. Will be held on 7, 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16 September 1917 to 21 h. It costs € 390 but there are reductions for students and miembbros de l 'Archivists Association of Catalonia (AAC) and the Col • legi Officer Bibiliotecaris i Documentalists of Cattalunya (COBDC).
